Chapter 1.10: What's happening to me?

 <- Previous Chapter

Milo is a lively child, he keeps both me and Silvia as busy as we have ever been before. Now it's time for him to sleep, let's hope he falls asleep soon...

As for me, however, the situation is becoming more and more worrisome: I had noticed my belly was getting larger some time ago, but for sure I wasn't expecting it to keep growing at this rate. What did those aliens do to me, for Jupiter sake?

Sylvia: Do you want to explain to me what is happening to you? And don't pretend everything is alright, I noticed that your belly is glowing!
Stuart: ...
Sylvia: An enlarged abdomen of those proportions is not normal, it could be something serious!

Sylvia: Can you at least let me have a look?
Stuart: ... ok.

Sylvia: it's absurd, it almost looks like...
Stuart: it looks like what?
Sylvia: It doesn't make any sense, but... Whatever it is, it has just kicked.

In short, even if it may seem absurd and contrary to any law of biology, I am, unequivocally, pregnant. How could those aliens do this to me, I don't even have a uterus! And how will it come out in a few months? I can't go on like this, this situation could be a treat to my life at this rate...

I wandered around the neighbourhood for a while, without finding any solution to my problem. I couldn't just show up at the hospital saying I was pregnant, I would have become a laboratory test subject!

I was giving up hope when I met one of my lab colleagues on the street. This time he owes me some answers, I demand them!

Stuart: What the hell did you do to me? Have you all gone crazy?
Colleague: Well, you haven't figured it out yet?
Stuart: This is completely unethical, what the hell crossed your mind?
Colleague: ... There is nothing we can do about it. But I can at least leave you the name of a doctor, he knows the situation. He will be able to help you.

And so, at least, I was able to find a doctor able to take care of this impossible health condition of mine. Because, apparently, I'm not even the first nor the only one who passed through this situation. But how could such a thing remain a secret, for Jupiter sake?

It's been some time, Milo is growing fast. Sylvia is right, he looks a lot like me.

I can also be frustrated and angry about this absurd situation my curiosity about aliens put me in, but I cannot make this fall on my son and on Sylvia as well. So, even if I'm always exhausted and this ridiculously huge belly doesn't stop glowing, I always try to be there for them.

It's summer, here in the desert it's scorching heat, but for now we can't afford anything but an inflatable swimming pool. Milo seems to like it very much.

And also Sylvia.

Okay, I spend a lot of time in it too. It's amazing how a bit of cool water can do so much against this heat...

Stuart: (joking) Ehi, Nacho, would you like to join me?

As usual, Nacho completely ignored me, and continued his exploration of the whereabouts. He is particularly stealthy lately, we often see him quarrelling with the neighbours' new cat. He is a territorial cat, he doesn't like newcomers.

Sylvia: are you sure you're okay? Doing some math, you should almost be...
Stuart: I'm fine, don't worry.

But, as usual, it was Sylvia who was right.

I went into labour a few hours later, how can anyone resist something so painful? Was Sylvia feeling the same, just a few months ago?
In that moment I could only hope it was going to end soon...

Ah ah, you see, I was not the only one panicking!

Doctor: and here she is, a gorgeous emerald green girl!

The doctor was the same my colleague had indicated to me, I'm not sure about how he managed to pull her out, and I'm not sure I want to know it either. At least he seemed to know what to do...

A little hesitantly, I took the little alien in my arms. I didn't know exactly how she was born, I did not even know for sure whether she was my biological daughter or not. But she'd been growing inside me for months and months, and she was so vulnerable...

I had no idea how we were going to raise her, do aliens eat the same thing as humans do? And how could we avoid the panic among the people who could see here? Maybe all those questions could wait, at that moment I just wanted to hold her tight and make her understand that she was safe with me.

We called her Luna, I present her to you, my dear diary.

To conclude the update, I wanted to share the screenshots of the moods related to the alien pregnancy. I find them hilarious, what about you?

^ Eng: Bizarre stomach ache (for eating something funny?) Stuart is not feeling very excited. Probably it's because of something he ate.

^ Eng: Bizarre weight gain (for a bizarre metabolism): Stuart put on some weight. Surely it's just a phase.

^ Eng: Abnormal changes in the body (for terrifying and unknown reasons) Something is definitively wrong! Stuart is very suspicious about the changes in his body.

^ Eng: Imminent close encounter (for unidentified life form growing within him) Whatever it is, it's about to come out!

  1. Thank you for the english translations. They're super helpful and informative. My sims had never gotten an alien pregnancy before.

  2. It must be so scary to be suddenly pregnant... Yikes. But Luna and Milo are adorable. I love Luna's name and it will hopefully be nice for Milo to have a sibling so close in age.
